The Best Daily Greens Powder for Women Over 40 (Live It Up vs. AG1 Review)
Live It Up vs. AG1 Review. As I’ve gotten a little older (hello, mid-40s!), I’ve realized how much my body truly craves the right support. With busy days trying to keep up with work and wellness, I found myself looking for a new supplement. One that could give me that extra boost of energy, immunity, and overall health.
That’s when I decided to try two of the most talked about greens powders on the market: AG1 and Live It Up. Both promise to pack in nutrients, support energy, and make life easier with one scoop a day. I saw AG1 at Costco and decided to give it a try for a while. When I ran out it seemed like a high price to pay again. So I did some research and discovered, Live it up. After after trying both Greens powders, I now have a clear favorite and wanted to share.

Why I Started Taking Green Powders
I wanted something simple and convenient. Not a cabinet full of different supplements to remember every morning. Since I’m super into health and wellness my goals were pretty straightforward:
- More consistent energy and simply feeling my best throughout the day
- Immune support during cold and flu season
- A way to get extra nutrients (because I’m not perfect when it comes to fruits and veggies every single day)
- Something that tastes good enough that I’ll actually drink it
AG1 (Athletic Greens): What I Noticed
AG1 has been super popular for a while, especially with athletes and influencers. Here’s my experience with it:
- ✅ Nutrient-dense: It has 75 vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and adaptogens.
- ✅ Gut health support: I did feel less bloated after drinking it consistently.
- ⚖️ Taste: Honestly, it’s not terrible but not amazing / kind of grassy and earthy.
- ⚖️ Price: At almost $100 a month, it’s definitely an investment.
For me, AG1 was fine, but the price just was wasn’t worth it for me.
Live It Up: What I Noticed
After trying AG1 for 30 days, I switched to Live It Up, and here’s where things changed:
- ✅ Taste: Honestly, this was the first big difference. It’s much smoother and actually enjoyable to drink. A little fruity, not too grassy.
- ✅ Price: At about half the price of AG1, it feels so much more reasonable to stick with long-term.
- ✅ Energy boost: I noticed steady energy, which made me feel like it was really working for me.
- ✅ Convenience: Same scoop and go style, which makes it easy to stay consistent.
- ⚖️ Fewer ingredients than AG1: It’s not 75 things in one, but it covers the essentials, greens, probiotics, and adaptogens.

Live It Up vs. AG1 Review
Both AG1 and Live It Up are great in their own ways. But for me, “Live It Up” is the winner. The combination of better taste, lower price, and solid benefits made it the supplement I actually look forward to drinking every day.
At 46, I don’t want to waste money on something I dread drinking or can’t stick with. Live It Up feels more like the kind of wellness boost that fits my life right now. Simple, affordable, and effective.
Why Try a Greens Powder at All?

If you’ve ever wondered if you really “need” one of these supplements, here’s why I think they’re worth it:
- You’re probably not getting enough nutrients from diet alone (most of us aren’t!).
- It’s a quick way to support energy, immunity, digestion, and overall wellness in one step.
- When it tastes good, it can become a healthy daily habit.
✨ My tip: If you’ve been curious about greens powders but hesitant because of price or taste, try Live It Up first. It’s a great way to get started without the hefty price tag.

I’m in my mid twenties right now, but I know the importance of being healthy! I’ve tried AG1 before, a sample at Costco actually, and thought the same that you did. I didn’t get it because it was pricey and I wasn’t fond of the taste. Live It Up sounds great though. I’ll have to try it!! 🙂
Hi Lydia! I totally agree with you! Thanks for reading. I’m glad we both found a price friendly solution for this finally! 🙂
The difference from when I wasn’t able to get enough food to eat, healthy or otherwise really made me think. When I finally got access to vegetables and fruits on a regular basis, my brain works so much better. I really wish they were less expensive to get but definitely worth the investment. I’ve been wondering about these and I’m glad you reviewed them. I’m allergic to grass, so I think I’ll pass on that one, but I’m glad it’s one less thing I have to look into. Great post!
This is a great and honest review. Price is definitely a big factor for me, but the biggest is taste. I have yet to find a greens supplement that doesn’t taste like grass, so I may have to give this one a try. Thanks for sharing!
