Cinnamon Apple Chili – The Perfect Fall Comfort Dinner for Chilly Nights

There’s nothing better than a cozy bowl of chili simmering away on a crisp fall evening. Tonight I was craving something different than the average chili recipe. Because here in Las Vegas where I live, it’s finally actually chilly and cold outside, Yay! So I decided to create a new fall recipe for you all! Here is my take on a sweet and savory chili for fall. Im calling it, Cinnamon Apple Chili! It’s so delicious and bursting with all the seasonal flavors. Reminding me of Thanksgiving in a bowl!
Made in one pot (your trusty Dutch oven, of course). This recipe blends the comfort of traditional white bean chili with the cozy sweetness of sautéed apples and fall spices. It’s great for kids since it’s on the sweet side and perfect for chilly nights. Or those weekends when you just want something delicious and comforting simmering on the stove.

🍎 Why You’ll Love This Fall Chili Recipe
- One-pot easy: Everything cooks in your Dutch oven, making cleanup a breeze.
- Fall-inspired twist: A touch of cinnamon and diced green apple gives it a cozy, seasonal flavor.
- Lighter & leaner: Ground turkey keeps it healthy.
- Crowd-pleasing: Perfect for family dinners, cozy nights in, or casual entertaining.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 pound of maple sausage
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp of cinnamon
- Splash of real maple syrup
- 2 tsp ground of ground sage
- 1 tsp of nutmeg
- 2 cans white beans, drained and rinsed (I used Bushes White Chili Beans and one can of garbanzo beans because that’s all I had today)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Splash of white wine (optional, for extra depth)
- 1–2 teaspoons cornstarch (for thickening, as needed)
- Salt to taste
- Sharp cheddar cheese, for garnish

🍲 Instructions
- Brown the turkey:
Heat a Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks. - Add aromatics:
Stir in the diced onion and cook until it starts to soften, about 3 minutes. Add a splash of white wine. - Add the fall twist:
Stir in the diced apple, cinnamon, sage, and nutmeg. Let it cook together for 2–3 minutes until fragrant, oh and your kitchen will smell amazing! - Add the beans and broth:
Stir in the white chili beans, chicken broth, and maple syrup. Bring to a gentle boil. - Simmer:
Reduce the heat and let your chili simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. If it’s too thin, whisk cornstarch with a bit of broth and stir it in to thicken. - Season & serve:
Taste and add salt as needed. Serve warm, topped with shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
