They are especially delightful when homemade from scratch. It’s really the perfect afternoon treat after lunch with a cup of tea. My teenage son actually stopped playing his Minecraft video game. He made a rare appearance in the kitchen. “What’s that smell, mom? You made chocolate chip cookies!?”. And that is always a good feeling being a mom!
For the ultimate cookie experience, I used luxury chocolate chips. I also added a handful of chopped pecans. They provided an indulgent, nutty twist. I just happened to have them in my pantry.
