Happy Friday, friends! Is it just me, or did Thanksgiving sneak up on us this year? I’m officially in full holiday prep mode over here, and let me tell you, it’s a little chaotic but fun at the same time. This weekend I’m gearing up for an early Thanksgiving feast, which means my kitchen is overflowing with ingredients, my menu is (finally!) coming together. Next week I’ll be sharing all the finished details right here on the Fancy My Way blog, so be sure to come back and save the recipes, tips, and ideas for your own feast at home.
My goal always is to make your hosting easier and a little bit fancy, too because why not? It’s the perfect excuse to impress your guests and enjoy the festive holiday for yourself!
Fancy Friday Edit: Thanksgiving Travel Must-Haves with a Western Twist
For Thanksgiving week, I’m hitting the road to visit our 150 year old family ranch in the midwest, ( that’s a whole other blog article) and I could not be more excited. You know I’m not about to travel to the heart of the Midwest without some major Yellowstone/ Dutton Ranch vibes going on, so I’m going all in on with glam western wear or Aspen chic style I guess you would say! Basically the coolest cowgirl boots I can find, a fringe jacket, denim, and cute casual tops.
If you’re going on a getaway to places like Aspen Colorado, Montana, Kansas, Texas, or Wyoming and searching for the perfect midwest Thanksgiving travel outfit, I’ve got you covered with my favorite finds of the week. I’m even Including a super handy tote I was gifted that I just have to share because it is so impressive and essential for going on a quick trip!
So grab your coffee (or your spiked cider!) and let’s get into it.
Thanksgiving Travel Must-Haves with a Western Twist
1. Poppy & Peonies Go-Getter Tote
I don’t know about you, but lately, I don’t want the attention of a major designer bag like an Hermes Kelly when I’m out doing errands, that’s for certain occasions. Like when I’m going somewhere fancy or a night out.
That’s why I’m putting this bag on the Fancy List this week. I think this is a great bag for travel, work, or just running around town. It has tons of handy compartments and pockets, and it comes with two smaller bags for extra organization. It even fits my MacBook Air perfectly, and that has to go everywhere with me. For the price, it’s seriously impressive. If you’re looking for a casual bag, this everyday tote does it all.
Designed for easy organization, this stylish, zip-top silhouette includes a padded laptop sleeve, plenty of pockets, an interior cupholder, a handy key leash, and a travel sleeve that slides right over your suitcase to keep everything in place.
Here’s the main features it has:
Back trolley sleeve for travel ease
Padded sleeve that fits a 16″ laptop
Cupholder that fits a 30oz Stanley
Five+ interior pockets and a key leash
Zip-top closure for security
Adjustable + removable strap.
2. Famasi Apple Peptide Lip Smoothie
We all need to keep our lips fancy for the holidays! This dry winter weather won’t stand a chance against this ultra-moisturizing, vitamin C + peptide lip balm. It’s also apple flavored, which is so refreshing. Tuck one in your purse and your nightstand.
3. Lucchese Priscilla Boots in Brown
SHOP: Lucchese Boots
No chic western look is complete without the boots, and these are sleek, knee-skimming, and have a pull-on silhouette. Handcrafted from luxurious Vero Goat leather in Texas. The Priscilla in brown is classic and polished, and it works with everything from jeans to a casual dress. They’ll be on my feet the whole trip, because you can’t visit the midwest without a great pair of cowgirl boots!
4. Lucchese Fringe Jacket
Okay, I’m obsessed. This fringe jacket is so cool, and I can’t wait to wear it! It’s still in the mail, so I’m sharing a stock photo for now, but just picture it with your favorite jeans, a simple top, and those boots. It’s the statement piece that takes a travel outfit from boring to the most dazzling western moment ever, Yeehaw!
5. TUMI 19 Degree Lite Large Checked Suitcase in Blush
Now for the splurge, and it’s a gorgeous one! If you’re checking a bag this holiday season, this TUMI is the one I’d pack. Because we have to bring multiple outfit changes, right? The soft Blush color is so pretty and feminine, and it makes your bag easy to spot on the baggage carousel. Here’s why it’s such a top pick:
- Lightweight but strong: The shell is made of TUMI’s Tegris material, so it’s built to handle the bumps of travel. The whole suitcase weighs just 10.8 lbs, so you can pack more outfits without going over the weight limit.
- Huge capacity: It holds 100 liters, so it has plenty of room for boots, a fringe jacket, and holiday outfits.
- Smooth and easy to move: It has four dual wheels that glide through the airport, plus a magnesium telescoping handle that is light and sturdy.
- Organized inside: Compression straps keep your outfits in place, and two zip pockets hold the small things.
- Travel-smart extras: It has an integrated TSA lock, corner bumpers for protection, and TUMI Tracer registration to help get your bag back if it’s ever lost.
- Made to last: It comes with a 5-year warranty, and you can add a custom monogram if you want to make it yours.
It’s an investment piece, but it’s a luxe suitcase you’ll use for years.
That’s a wrap on this week’s edit! Which find are you adding to your cart first? Tell me in the comments, and be sure to come back next week for my updated Champagne Turkey recipe, pictures, Thanksgiving menu & tablescape inspiration. Have a fabulous weekend everyone! Cheers💕
