Nicolas Ghesquière’s Fall-Winter 2022 Collection for Louis Vuitton was first unveiled in March 2022 at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the Women’s Fall-Winter 2022 Collection. Dedicated to youth, in all its vivid romanticism, inspiring idealism, hope for the future and for a better world. Nicolas Ghesquière designed a collection inspired by youthful self-expression, that can be mixed and matched depending on mood. Kilts, oversized cardigans and silk trousers take inspiration from school uniforms, while mille-feuille dresses in chiffon and tulle give silhouettes a kinetic and fleeting, mirage-like effect, playing with the collection’s theme of freedom of movement. Additionally, David Sims’ photographs from the 1990s are applied and embroidered, reminiscent of concert t-shirts or posters hung on floral wallpaper in a teenager’s bedroom. Louis Vuitton-
Ok everyone I must confess, for the last few years I have not been too thrilled about Louis Vuitton newly released bags. Nothing really jumped out at me that I simply “needed” to add to my collection, I have a few monograms and that’s enough for me. It’s been a while since I was excited about any Louis Vuitton bag. Well let me tell you…the sparkle has been revived!
Today I opened my email to find, the Nicolas Ghesquière’s Fall-Winter 2022 Collection online! OMG, all I can say is wow. I’m obsessed! I started slowly scrolling thru the pieces one by one, feeling pretty shocked. Seeing multi colors, beautiful florals, and gorgeous designs. What an absolutely thrilling collection! Truly made my morning tea a delight!
The moment I laid my eyes upon this speedy I was in love!
It’s everything I could ever dream of in a Louis Vuitton bag. Gold canvas, monograms, feminine florals, brown trim, actually wearable and even practical, ( just imagine wearing it with jeans and a t-shirt) so effortless and chic. I can’t take my eyes off this beauty. It is simply stunning! Of course I immediately pressed buy it now only to discover it’s sold out already….(crying). At $2100 this bag was amazingly priced.
Oh wait, lets not forget to talk about the stunning silver and pink fuchsia floral Neverfull, wow just wow. Are we getting excited yet? What is your favorite piece from this collection?
