Since I can remember, I always had some kind of business working for myself. I started out with my first endeavor, making handmade sandals embellished with swarovski crystals. I set up a booth at the local art fair in my hometown Huntington Beach, Ca. I sold out my first day and every weekend. Immediately I was hooked and never wanted a real job again. I know not everyone has luck on their first try. My advice is to NEVER give up on your dreams, do what you LOVE and the MONEY will follow.

Start thinking. What are you good at? Do you make things? Do you have a talent? Dive into yourself. What makes you happy? What environment do you love? All these ideas will help you navigate to your calling.
Maybe you are an amazing crafter. Sell on Etsy! Etsy is a great place to showcase your crafts. Millions of people are making great income on the platform. You can also google your local craft fair and ask for an event schedule. Jump right in don’t delay. It will force you to be ready for that event day. All you truly need is your craft, table and your business cards. Start selling on the spot. The rest will follow. You will learn as you go. Don’t be scared of not being ready, you will never be ready until you start. You will learn alot along the way. All businesses make mistakes in the beginning and are fine tuned as they grow.
Good at selling? Join a MLM as market partner. There are plenty of great ones out there right now. They give you support and they get you into being social which is always a great thing. If you enjoy selling and are interested in joining a community, this is a great idea for you. Most have a small starting fee to join the businesses, but they are so helpful with the tools you need for success. Here are a few I have personally tried and loved. There are tons of people that would love to read your story. For example, maybe you love to travel. Start a travel blog.

Become an influencer. Yes we have all seen the stories. Guess what anyone can become an influencer. Post about what makes you, you and people will follow. Start getting paid for your content. Get brands to sponsor you and share their products. Though it may take time, you have to start somewhere to make your dream happen.

Sell on Amazon. Open a seller account. It’s $39.95 a month for a professional seller account right now. Go onto Allibaba.com order the products you are interested in selling. Make sure you do your research first before you order. Watch youtube videos, How to sell on Amazon. So much great information is out there to get you started. It’s a great side hustle or a full time work from home business depending on how much time you want effort to put into it.

Sell clothes, handbags, shoes, antiques, collectables, or art on Ebay, Mercari, or Poshmark. If you don’t have anything to sell, go find it at your local garage sale, estate sale, Goodwill, consignment or vintage shop and sell them for more. Become a “treasure hunter”…buy low, sell high is the strategy. You can make a living doing this. I know because I’ve been in this business for the last 20 years. Tip: sell what your into. Do you love shoes? Sell designer shoes. Do you love antiques and collectables? Focus on that. It will help keep you interested and make it that much more fun! Just be careful…sometimes you will want to keep your found treasures for yourself, and that can get expensive. It’s happened to me many times..stay focused on the flip!

Do you love baking cookies, pies or cakes? Cook baked goods from home. Jump in and apply for your cottage license with your state and start cooking and selling your baked goods. You can become very successful with this if you enjoy baking.

Rent out a room in your home or even your entire home if possible. Airbnb has made a lot of people study income without much work. Simply make a listing and sign up with the platform you should have bookings shortly if you are in a area of high demand for travelers.
