Green Bean Casserole
This is my favorite recipe for green bean casserole. This recipe is super yummy and even better for leftovers!

- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 24 oz fresh green beans or canned
- 8 slices chopped bacon
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 cup fresh shiitake mushrooms
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 tsp salt & pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbp soy sauce
- 2 1/2 cups french fried onions, save half for topping
Boil your fresh green beans. Drain and rinse.
Fry up the bacon set aside. Blot with paper towel to drain extra grease. Then chop.
Add mushrooms, garlic and onion to skillet and saute for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl combine green beans, mushroom mix, can mushroom soup, half and half, salt, pepper, soy sauce and half of the fried onions.
Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.
Add the rest of the french fried onions and bake for about ten more minutes.
