Stress is a common part of modern life, but it can take a toll on your physical and mental health if left unchecked. Find healthy ways to manage stress, such as exercise, meditation, or deep breathing. Make time for activities that bring you joy and help you relax, such as reading a book or taking a nature walk. Meditate-regular meditation can help you relax and relieve stress. Set your phone on a ten minute timer. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and release any tension you are holding onto. Practicing a few times a week can really help calm your nerves.
Take a nap- just a ten minute nap does wonders.
Read a book- watching the news or scrolling through social media can be stressful. Turn off your TV and read a nice uplifting book instead.
Exercise–Get Moving! Physical activity is a very essential component of a healthy lifestyle. Regular exercise can totally help improve your mood, reduce stress, and strengthen your body. Find a form of exercise that you enjoy doing and don’t dread, whether it’s dancing, yoga, or just walking around your block. Make it a regular part of your routine for success. Try for at least 20 minutes of exercise per day, and mix up your routine to keep things interesting. Remember, exercise should be fun and enjoyable, not a chore you hate. Just this quick 20 minute walk or online yoga class can boost your mood, reduce pain and increase your happy hormones like serotonin, dopamine etc.
Clean your space-a clean house is a magical feeling. If you don’t have time or feel like it, simply clean off a small desk, a clear space will really lift your spirits.
Listen to a podcast- there are many wellness podcasts out there ready to lift your spirits and mood. Find one that interests you.
Light a lavender candle- using scents like lavender or frankincense can lower anxiety and depression, says scientists.
Deep breathing exercises- The 4-7-8 breathing technique, also known as “relaxing breath” involves breathing in for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds. Wash your face- A warm soothing cleanse really takes the day away. I love applying a calming moisturizer after like this CBD oil, Royal Highness Elixir face oil.
Lavender essential oil- pour a few drops in a good diffuser. It’s a nice way to scent your space and change your mood.
Pour yourself a glass of – wine
Take a warm bath– a nice warm bubble bath with your favorite aroma is always a soothing treat after a long day. Always have a stack of luxurious clean towels for the most indulgent spa like experience.
Hot Tea- with a teaspoon of honey. Not only can herbal tea help you stay hydrated, it can calm and soothe leaving you feeling refreshed.
Shopping online- shopping always takes your mind off things and defiantly makes us feel better. If you’re short on cash, shop a good sale.
Watch a great series or movie– Right now, I’m really enjoying watching the Yellowstone series.
