When it’s game day, you want appetizers that are Super Bowl or Puppy Bowl approved! Delicious, crowd-pleasing, and most importantly—easy to make. These 7 easy game day appetizers are quick to whip up and guaranteed to score big with your guests. This year I’m planing on staying home and hanging out with my 18 year old son and my fiancé. These recipes are perfect for a small crowd and teen approved- tried and true! So let’s jump right in with some yummy recipes!

7 Easy Game Day Appetizers to Impress Your Guests

1. Loaded Nachos Supreme

Easy Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread a layer of tortilla chips on a sheet pan or a large baking dish.
  3. Top with chopped steak or shredded rotisserie chicken, black beans, shredded cheese, and sliced jalapeños.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  5. Add diced tomatoes, olives, sour cream, and guacamole on top before serving.

2. The Best Buffalo Chicken Dip

Easy Recipe:

Ingredients

  •  2 1/2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  •  8 ounces cream cheese
  •  3/4 cup sour cream
  •  3/4 cup buffalo sauce, Franks Original
  •  1/4 cup ranch dressing
  •  1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend (for topping)
  •  1 tsp garlic powder
  •  1 tsp onion salt
  •  2 green onions, diced (for garnishing)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a medium-size bowl combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce and ranch. Stir until mixed.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl combine cream cheese, sour cream, onion salt, and garlic powder. Mix with an electric mixer till smooth and creamy.
  4. Add your buffalo chicken mixture to the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Transfer chicken buffalo dip to a 9×9 baking dish. Smooth out the top with the back of a spoon. Sprinkle cheese on the top and bake for 30 minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped green onion.
  6. Serve with celery, tortilla chips, or crackers.
  7. Enjoy!

3. Jalapeño Poppers

Easy Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice 10 fresh jalapeños in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
  3. Fill each half with cream cheese and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Sprinkle each jalapeño half with chopped bacon
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.

4. Spicy Jalapeño Buttermilk Ranch Dip

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 3/4 cup Mayonnaise or (Plain Greek Yogurt)
  • 1 packet 1 oz Ranch Dip
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro 
  • 3/4 cup Pickled Jalapeños 
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk 
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Lime Juice

Directions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch dip packet, and garlic salt.
  2. In blender or food processor, puree cilantro and pickled jalapenos with a little juice.
  3. Add cilantro jalapeno puree into the mayo mixture.
  4. Stir in buttermilk until you reach desired consistency. Add in the fresh lime juice.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

5. Mini Italian Sliders

Easy Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice a package of Hawaiian rolls in half (keep the bottom and top halves intact).
  3. Layer sliced sandwich salami, sliced turkey, and provolone cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of mayo and 2 tbsp of Dijon mustard. Add 2 tbsp of red wine vinegar, two dashes of Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Then, add 1/2 cup of chopped red onion. Add 1/2 cup of chopped banana peppers, and 1 cup of shredded lettuce. Mix in the bowl. Place sliced tomatoes then put the mixture on the bottom half of the rolls.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls back on and brush with melted butter and sprinkle with with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes and slice into individual sliders. Enjoy!

Italian Sliders

This crowd pleasing sandwich bursts with flavor. A perfect sandwich to serve at any event.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 pkg Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices salami
  • 6 slices turkey
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup banana peppers
  • 2 dashes Italian seasoning
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions
 

  • Slice Hawaiian rolls in half
  • Layer the deli meat and cheese starting with the salami, then turkey. Top with cheese.
  • Add sliced tomatoes
  • In a bowl, mix together mayo, mustard, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  • Stir in red onion, banana peppers and shredded lettuce. Mix until combined.
  • Spread melted butter and grated parmesan cheese on top of buns and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes covered in foil. Then remove foil and bake an additional 5-7 minutes. Just to toast the rolls and melt the cheese. Careful not to burn.
  • Slice the sliders and serve warm.
  • Enjoy!

6. BBQ Chicken Wings

Easy Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season 2 lbs of chicken wings with salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Toss the wings in your favorite store-bought BBQ sauce.
  5. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Pro Tip: For crispier wings, broil them for 3–5 minutes after baking.

7. Loaded Potato Skins

Easy Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Bake 6 small russet potatoes until soft (about 45 minutes). Let cool slightly.
  3. Slice each potato in half and scoop out most of the inside, leaving a thin layer of potato inside.
  4. Brush the skins with olive oil and bake for 10 minutes until crispy.
  5. Fill with shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions.
  6. Bake for another 5 minutes and serve with sour cream.
