7 Romantic Date Night Ideas At Home.

Tired of going out and dealing with crowds and reservations? Then you need some new ways to create a romantic date night at home. You don’t need a special occasion to host a fun night with your partner. Save money and still have a great time all while relaxing with your lover. Think about candles, wine and feeling the love you have together. Below are 7 romantic date night ideas at home.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, my fiance and I are definitely planning to have a date night at home this year instead of heading out to a crowded restaurant. After our recent move out of state (more on that subject to come) we have been exhausted, and really enjoy being at home more than ever these days.

Whether you’re looking for some alone time and romance or a just chance to relax with your lover this Valentine’s day, I’ve rounded up some easy and fun ways to create the perfect date night at home. Read on for 7 Romantic Date Night Ideas At Home!

1. Wine Tasting

ONE HOPE WINE

Bring Napa Valley to your home with a DIY wine tasting! Get your wine delivered to your door with ONE Hope Wines (my favorite). Keep it simple by sampling a few wines, or get more detailed with cheese and crackers or even chocolate pairings. It’s all in the details! Make it even more special by making cards for the titles of each wine, and the different notes in each sample (if you want to get extra fancy). Talk about which wine is your favorite, and you might just find your new favorite wine as a couple. If beer or vodka is more your style, make a sampling of a few different types to try out together.

2. Make it a Fun Game Night

Even if you’re in a romantic lull, a little friendly competition can really liven up things. Bring out the fun, stack your Jenga, and get your game on. You can stick to one game, or make a whole tournament with a variety of two-person games to see who is the ultimate champion.

3. Order In

Get your favorite takeout food! Instead of the normal night in, turn it into a fun and delicious date night by lighting candles, and getting out a nice tablecloth to create a romantic atmosphere. Pour a special cocktail and make it extra special by wearing sexy clothes, or even just a spritz of your nice perfume. You’ll feel like you’re at a five star restaurant, but without hassle of reservations and large crowds.

4. Bring the Sports Bar Home

If you’re not in the mood for a fancy date and love the idea of going to a fun sports bar, save the expense of a babysitter and bring the sports bar to you at home. Turn on a game (or record one from earlier that day), grab your favorite beer, and make (or order) your favorite sports bar appetizers like chicken wings, onion rings, or pizza. Don’t forget to cozy up on the couch with a blanket for the ultimate relaxation.

5. Cook A Fancy Meal Together

It’s most likely only one of you cooking dinner each night (probably the one who got home or finished up work first that day), but cooking together turns dinner into fun quality time. Put your partner on grilling duty for a fancy steak dinner, or cook some sexy pasta together. If cooking isn’t one (or both) of your styles, order-in and bake an irresistible dessert. Even making a simple batch of cookies or a delicious chocolate lava cake will be fun for you two to do as a couple.

6. Have a Picnic

If it’s nice outside, enjoy the weather by spreading out a picnic blanket in the backyard and enjoy your dinner (or a bottle of wine) sitting under the moonlight. If it’s too cold outside or you don’t have a yard, Make your own picnic by lying a blanket on the floor in the living room. Make it extra romantic by lighting candles, and enjoy a romantic evening that’s simple to create, but feels more special than your normal night in.

7. Create Your Own Spa Moment

Who needs to go to an expensive spa for a couple’s massage when you have each other? Put on fluffy robes and slippers and pour yourselves a glass of champagne for a relaxing spa night in! Get a nice massage oil and take turns treating each other. You can also make a nice bubble bath with fancy bath oils for a luxurious spa-like experience without the hassle of going to a spa. Cheers!
